Love in a box Appeal 2021

๐ŸงกThank you!๐Ÿงก

Thank you so much to everyone who supported our โ€˜Love in a Boxโ€™ shoebox appeal 2021, we collected 86 shoeboxes to send to Children in Distress.

Over the last 10 years we have sent a staggering 1,333 shoeboxes all over the globe to people that are in need. Beautiful shoebox gifts filled with love, spreading joy and hope to those for whom Christmas offers little to celebrate. A simple act of kindness that lets others know that they are loved and not forgotten.

It takes time, effort and money to put together a shoebox, so to everyone who donated boxes, money or items to fill the boxes – this year and over the last 10 years – thank you all!

Creation Week – 27th Sept ~ 2nd Oct

Our church was open every afternoon & evening throughout the week for visitors to take the opportunity to come & reflect on our world through Creationtide.

We welcomed the children from Years 2, 5 and 6 from St Francis of Assisi Primary School and travelled through the seven days of the Creation Story. We also had a wonderful evening with the Cubs learning about Creationtide and celebrating the Feast of St. Francis.

Many thanks to the Mothers’ Union team for co-ordinating this event.
